One important aspect of the balanced game play in Warhawk, is the wide variety of vehicles the players can use. Take to the sky, or use some of the ground vehicles available, whatever you like.
The Jeep is a 4×4 army jeep. It is fast, can carry 1 driver, 1 passenger and 1 troop manning the .50 Cal machine gun mounted on the back. The Jeep is fast, and excellent to get from point A to point B. If you also get a skilled person manning the machine gun and a decent driver you also have a potent killing machine. Due to the fact that jeep is all open, and it's low armor rating makes it very vulnerable to enemy fire, and it is even possible to kill the driver, passenger or gunner with an explosion or ordinary weapon fire.
The Tank is a very potent weapon platform, the canon is capable of tearing a base up. An experienced tank driver can really tear up an enemy base. The tank is capable of carrying one passenger in it's turret, which can also provide secondary fire with troop weapons, and even repairing the tank with a wrench if damaged. The latter combination makes the tank especially deadly, and very durable. Tanks should be priority targets for Warhawk pilots, as only just one can really cause some damage.
The APC was introduced in the Operation: Broken Mirror expansion pack. The APC have a high armor rating, and since it carries a shield generator that can be dropped anywhere, makes it very hard to take down. It is also capable to carry 6 passengers, and operates as a mobile spawn point, makes it the ultimate troop carrying vehicle. When a troop spawns into the APC he also gets a random weapon based on what weapons the driver carries.
The Warhawk is the ultimate weapon platform in the game. There are actually two fighter planes in Warhawk, the Eucadian is called Warhawk and the Chernovan is called Nemesis. Both are capable of carrying one passenger 1) and in the right hands will cause major damage. Knowing how to dodge missiles, attack and defend with a Warhawk makes you a very dangerous player, and in almost every game modes the key to victory is air superiority. This means you should always try to help your team out in the air.
The Dropship was introduced in the Operation: Omega Dawn expansion pack, and was the first new vehicle introduced to Warhawk. The powerful machine guns and the missile turrets, that up to 5 passengers can man, makes it a flying fortress. Combine this with a high armor rating, it is a formidable foe. It's major weakness is the speed and agility, slow to move forward and slow to turn around, makes it an easy target for an experienced pilot. However, if it is properly escorted, and piloted by a skilled pilot it is capable of causing some real damage.
The Jet Pack was introduced in the Operation: Fallen Star expansion pack, and was highly anticipated by the community. The player pick it up from a “vending machine”, and is ready to fly. It is relatively slow, but can boost for a short period of time. Troops can also lock on to a player flying a jet pack using an rocket launcher, but it is possible to dodge the missile by boosting. It can be very useful to get out of tight situation fast, but for longer flights it is to vulnerable from both the ground and the air.
